VERONICA'S STORY

 

From my early 20's I knew my life would revolve around yoga and spirituality. My friends would tease me and call me Deep Forrest. Starting with My B.Arts degree, majored in Psychology, studied Ayurveda, completed 3 Vipassana Retreats and went on to do over 1000 hours of Yoga Teacher training over the last 10 years. 

Yoga Nidra first arrived in the wake of the Christchurch Earthquakes. Experiencing symptoms of PTSD, for a year I slept with my passport next to me ready to flee. I found the work of i-Rest Yoga Nidra for PTSD and I very gently muddled my way through self healing. 

In 2017 I experienced an injury that would reroute my career.  I returned to meditation as a healing practice. From the first time I heard the I AM Method of Yoga Nidra I was hooked. The stars aligned and the path chose me.

Are you ready to be transformed? Yoga Nidra has helped me be a better person, a better boss, and a better teacher. It is my great honour to share this work. I have been teaching classes and workshops since 2013 at my Christchurch based yoga studio Grassroots Yoga & Health. Running a business in 2020 was stressful, it required surrender and trust. Thanks to my Yoga Nidra practice I was able to get through these times. During lockdown I moved my classes to Zoom and the students kept emailing me to say how this was helping them asking for it to be recorded. The Yoga Nidra Project is one of the good things to emerge out of 2020.
